Fountain Safety Solutions Ltd. are an established (since 2002), firm of health and safety consultants and trainers who provide a confidential, independent consultancy and bespoke training service on all areas of health and safety.
We are an approved senior associate of EEF Ltd (Engineering Employers Federation); and are also associates of the Manufacturers Advisory Services (MAS) providing specialist advice and guidance to their clients.
FSSL also provides the role of technical officer to the UK Notified Body, Powered Access Certification (PAC) providing the validation of controls systems to EN ISO 13849; EN62061 and other relevant standards.
The company is managed by our two Directors. Both directors are members of professional institutions and are bound by the institutions’ code of professional conduct. The company has professional indemnity insurance up to £500,000.

NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Member of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management, Graduate Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety & Health and founder member of the Institute Leadership and Management. Malcolm has over twenty years’ experience in health and safety management, specialising in Machinery Safety and Occupational Risk Assessment.
Malcolm has a wide range of occupational health and safety experience and expertise in many industries including manufacturing, engineering, construction, logistics, and assembly plants. He is also regularly sought after as a keynote speaker at seminars and as a bespoke developer and presenter of safety training workshops throughout the UK and Europe. Malcolm is also an accredited CHAS assessor.

A Chartered Engineer, Darren’s background is electrical and electronics design and he has over 15 years extensive experience in designing, assessing and testing equipment in the Low Voltage, Machinery, EMC and ATEX Directives for clients in the in the UK, Europe, USA and the Far East.
Many of his designs have been approved by many organisations including BASEEFA (UK), VDE (Germany); UL and ETL; (USA & Canada) and Western Power (Australia).
