European Standards Harmonised to the New Approach Directives
The website, www.newapproach.org/Directives/DirectiveList.asp lists the EN standards which are harmonised to each of the directives and shows their date of publication in the official journal of the European Union. Many of these listings can be viewed in pdf format which is useful for searching for keywords in the titles of the standards.

BSI British Standards, is the National Standards Body of the UK, with a globally recognised reputation for independence, integrity and innovation in the production of standards that promote best practices. The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) is the worlds leading organisation that prepares and publishes international standards for all electrical, electronic and related technologies - collectively known as electrotechnology. Many national and European standards are equivalent to an IEC standard , for example BS EN 62061: 2005 (British + harmonised European Standard) is equivalent to IEC 62061: 2005. IEC standards can be purchased from the IEC's website. A good feature of this website allows you to view the scope and contents of the standard.
